About This Event
Do fairy tales really come true, or is happily ever after a lotta friggin’ work? A “crafty intermingling of folklore, musical comedy and soap opera” (New York Times), Jeremy Dobrish’s delightful comedy The Handless Maiden explores that question, combining a Grimm’s fairy tale with two contemporary stories. It's a genre bending tale of “be careful what you wish for” that blends the mundane with the fantastical.
This staged reading is directed by Arthur Aulisi (who recently starred in River Rep’s production of the hit play ‘Art’), and features a who’s who of Sullivan County talent: Thomas Cambridge, Lexee McEntee, Jonathan Brody, Carol MacAdam, Clown Daddy, Marshall Shnider and Laura Velez (with more names tba).
