About This Event
Tshombe Selby is coming to the Arts Nest to “Black History Month”! This young, operatic, tenor, brings to his singing all the nuance and devotion of the African American experience. Steeped in the culture of Roanoke Island on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, in Manteo, his relationship with these songs began when he was a small child. He gives voice to these songs as a tribute to this authentic American music, the rich heritage from which it comes, and its dynamic contribution to the music of America and the World.
His hard work and devotion to the artform gave skills to his prodigious talent and he sang his first operatic role with the Delaware Valley Opera as Count Almaviva in “Barber of Seville” at the Tusten Theatre in Narrowsburg, NY. The DVO is honored to have played an important role in this exceptional performer’s development and success. Don’t miss the opportunity to share in an evening of brilliant artistry and meet this remarkable young performer.
